ipushpull User Roles - Customer Admins, Folder Admins and Regular Users

This article describes the three different User roles in ipushpull- Customer Administrators, Folder Administrators and Regular Folder Users

A Customer Administrator has full control over their Customer environment and the Folders belonging to it. You can have more than one Customer Administrator per Customer.

A Folder Administrator has full control over a Folder. You can have more than one Folder Administrator per Folder.

A Regular Folder User can only do what a Folder Administrator has granted them permission to do.

It's possible for the same iPushPull User to be an Administrator of one Folder and a Regular User in another.

 

Customer Administrator

You can become a Customer Administrator by:

  • signing up for an ipushpull account - when you do this a Customer is created for you and you are made the administrator for it
  • being assigned Customer Admin rights by an existing Customer Admin for your Customer

Customer Administrators can do the following:

  • Modify Customer details
  • Modify Billing Contact details
  • Modify Payment details
  • View Invoice History
  • View all Folders in their Customer environment
  • View all Users in their Customer environment
  • Grant/Revoke Customer Admin Rights to/from other Users
  • Grant/Revoke the permission to create Folders to/from other Users

 

Folder Administrators
You can become a Folder Administrator by:

  • signing up for an ipushpull trial or free account - when you do this a Folder is created for you and you are made the administrator for it
  • being invited to someone else's Folder and then being granted Administrator access by an existing Administrator for that Folder

Folder Administrators can do the following:

  • Change Folder settings
  • Create new Pages
  • Modify Page settings
  • Delete Pages
  • View Page content
  • Update Page content
  • Invite new Users to the Folder
  • Change other Users' roles in the Folder (e.g. make them a Folder Administrator too)
  • Grant/Revoke other Users' access to Pages in the Folder
  • Revoke other Users' access to the Folder
  • Monitor other Users' access to the Pages in the Folder
  • Create new Folders, if the Customer Admin has granted you this right

 

Regular Folder Users

You can become a Regular Folder User by:

  • being invited to someone else's Folder

Regular Folder Users can do the following:

  • View the content of Pages they have been granted read access to
  • Update the content of Pages they have been granted write access to
  • Create new Folders, if the Customer Admin has granted you this right
